🛡️ Mascot Manifesto: Freedom of Expression & Respectful Inclusion
Purpose
At Studio Waterdine, we celebrate creativity, computation, and culture through the use of fictional mascots — symbolic characters that personify digital processes, values, and quirks of our work. These mascots are part of our storytelling, branding, and internal culture.
Nature of the Mascots
- These mascots are entirely fictional and serve as metaphorical representations of technical concepts (e.g., memory leaks, uptime, data caching).
- They are not spiritual beings, religious figures, or part of any belief system.
- Their design may draw inspiration from global mythologies, folklore, or literary traditions, but they are not intended to replicate or appropriate any real-world spiritual practices.
Freedom of Expression
- The creation and use of these mascots is an exercise of freedom of expression, protected under applicable laws.
- They reflect the company’s creative identity and are used in a voluntary and playful manner.
Participation Guidelines
- No employee, partner, or visitor is required to engage with, reference, or acknowledge these mascots.
- Participation in mascot-related activities (e.g., naming contests, artwork, gamified rituals) is entirely optional.
- There is no direct or indirect expectation of belief, reverence, or compliance with any mascot-related content.
Respect & Inclusion
- We are committed to maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and non-discriminatory workplace.
- If any mascot or related content causes discomfort or concern, we encourage open dialogue and will respond with sensitivity and care.
- Our mascots are designed to unite, not divide — and we welcome feedback to ensure they remain a source of joy and creativity.
